Let us tell you that the Government of India is celebrating the completion of 75 years of independence to make its national flag clearly aware to the people. And making people aware that there should be respect and awareness for their national flag. In this celebration, the Government of India is running the 'Har Ghar Jhanda' or 'Har Ghar Tricolor' campaign, which is about hoisting the flag and putting the flag in the houses all over India on 15th August.
India's independence from British colonialism is completing 75 years. When India became independent, many British, European experts believed that India would not be able to maintain independence for a long time. The last 75 years have been the success story of a multi-cultural country becoming a nation state and its democracy based on people's representation. There have been tough times, there are still many challenges and struggles.
In the midst of all this, it is an occasion to remember the fight for freedom, to test our democracy and also to praise ourselves for its achievements.
The Government of India is celebrating this achievement in a planned manner on a nationwide scale in the form of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. As a continuation of the same, a campaign has been started by the countrymen to hoist the national flag tricolor at their homes from 13 to 15 August this year. The purpose of this is to inspire the feeling of patriotism among the people and to spread awareness about the national flag.
It needs to be understood here that the tricolor of every house is not a policy or order, but a public campaign.
